SUNSHINE COAST GOES LIVE WITH OLYMPIC AND PARALYMPIC CELEBRATIONS

• LIVE sites are being activated at Coolum Beach and UniSC on the Sunshine Coast during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games
• Don your Green and Gold and cheer on our Aussie athletes in Paris 2024 on Saturday 27 July during the Olympics and Thursday 29 August during the Paralympics
• Queenslanders will gather across the state to watch live Games broadcasts and celebrate triumphs and our own ‘8-Years-To-Go’ milestone as we look towards hosting in 2032

The Sunshine Coast is going LIVE for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games at two special celebration sites being activated at Coolum Beach and UniSC.

The activations are part of statewide celebrations where Queenslanders will gather for special events backing our Aussie athletes and marking our own ‘8-Years-To-Go’ milestone as hosts of the 2032 Games.

Olympics and Paralympics LIVE events will ignite the Olympic spirit from the Gold Coast to Cairns and west to Longreach during Paris 2024.

Delivered by Sunshine Coast Council, in partnership with Queensland Government, the Sunshine Coast will be a hub for Queenslanders to enjoy free broadcast coverage at Jack Morgan Park at Coolum Beach on Saturday 27 July where you can cheer on the Aussie Boomers in their first Olympic Basketball Game.

Head to the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) Arena at Sippy Downs on Thursday 29 August where you watch the replay of the Paralympic Games opening ceremony, LIVE broadcast of Paralympic competition events, para sport come and try and a wheelchair rugby and basketball match.

Additional LIVE sites will be activated across the state throughout the Games including Brisbane, Gold Coast, Longreach, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville and Cairns.

Paris 2024 broadcasts go LIVE on various dates at locations across Queensland from
27 July to 12 August (AEST) for the Olympic Games and 29 August to 9 September (AEST) for the Paralympic Games.
